Set books

I produce running vocabularies for set texts. They are sold at a fixed price and you can print copies as required. The A Levels (and some IB) cost £38 and GCSEs £28. I have a huge back-list of nearly all the set-texts for the last twenty years, and a few more. I hope that this will be published on my site soon. Some students may want to read beyond the syllabus. If there is something you are looking for, do ask.

As at 25.4.2025 I have finished what I plan to do. Juvenal Group 4 not recommended 2027-28 I have finished Nepos: Hannibal (I am not sure this is suitable for A Level, rather weak), Cicero Pro Sexto Roscio Group 1, Aeneid IV Group 3, Tibullus Group 3 (I have done this but no one else should - difficult, obscure, a crazy choice), Aeneid IV Group 4, Herodotus 7 Group 1, Crito Group 1, Electra Group 3, Odyssey 16 Group 3. I am working on Odyssey 22 at the moment.

Latin I have finished Cicero Pro Caelio Group 1, Tacitus Annals XII Group1, Virgil Aeneid 2 Groups 3 and 4, Juvenal 6 Group 3, Cicero Pro Caelio Group 2, Tacitus Annals XIV Group 2, Juvenal Group 4 (done but very difficult and poor stuff in my opinion). I do not have time for Pliny Letters or Ovid Fasti. Greek I have finished Herodotus 1 Group 1, Herodotus 1 Group 2, Plato Republic I Group 1, Plato Republic 1 Group 2, Iliad 16 Group 3, Iliad 24 Group 4, Hippolytus Groups 3 and Group 4, Frogs Group 4. later. I do not have time for Plutarch: Antony
